This week I will be learning the double fisherman's knot. This knot is used in the prusik chords which I use to attach myself to the main line. ![]() This is a very secure knot in which you tie two ends of rope together. In order to tie this knot you first over lap the rope to where the two ends of the rope pass each other. Next you take one end of the rope and tie it to where it looks like an x. You do this on both ends of the rope. ![]() I got this picture to try and help explain it a little better since it is a bit confusing. This is used to tie together the rope that connects you to your main line. It is a very strong knot which is why it is used. It will keep me safe from the rope untying while I'm climbing. This knot is crucial to my safety while ascending the rope.

I'm glad you're taking things slow and making sure you're doing them the right way so you don't get hurt. Keep staying safe!
